Love and charity, are service, helping others, serving others. There are many people who spend their lives in this way, in the service of others. … When you forget yourself and think of others, this is love! And with the washing of the feet the Lord teaches us to be servants, and above all, servants as He was a servant to us, for every one of us.
Good, as Pope Francis says, is growing here at Annunciation, in Stockton, and in our nation.
How? Francis goes on: “We should not think that happiness will happen only when everything is in place and ‘correct’ in our lives.”
We don’t need to wait for a better stock market, more police officers, an end to war, or more rain; the ‘good around us’ is growing larger because we have encountered Christ and He is doing His work through us right now. That is why there is a reason for great joy in our community despite the stubborn challenges we face here in our parish, our city, and our world.
One important way we continue to ‘grow the good’ is by sharing our financial gifts. Your sharing will help us to:

Reach out to the poor and those in need through our expanding Social Justice Ministry.
- Continue to form and welcome children, teens, and adults to our faith
- Continue to address serious and growing facilities and maintenance needs in and around the church.
Bishop’s Ministry Appeal 2026: Fulfilling the Mission with a Generous Heart
The Bishop’s Ministry Appeal (BMA) is our annual campaign dedicated to supporting the vital programs and ministries that serve the people of the Diocese of Stockton. Your generous gift to the BMA helps sustain the important work of both our Diocese and our parish community.
Because 100% of the funds raised beyond our parish goal are returned directly to us, these contributions have made a meaningful impact right here at home. Thanks to your generosity, we have been able to complete much-needed improvements to beautify and maintain our parish grounds. Recent projects include installing new lighting around the property, replacing the HVAC unit in the Parish Center, repairing interior church walls, repaving the parking lot, and much more.

El BMA, es nuestra campaña anual dedicada a apoyar los programas y ministerios vitales que sirven al pueblo de la Diócesis de Stockton.
Debido a que el 100% de los fondos recaudados que superan nuestra meta parroquial regresan directamente a nuestra parroquia, estas contribuciones han tenido un impacto significativo aquí mismo. Gracias a su generosidad, hemos podido completar mejoras muy necesarias para embellecer y mantener nuestras instalaciones parroquiales. Entre los proyectos recientes se encuentran la instalación de nueva iluminación alrededor de la propiedad, el reemplazo de la unidad de aire acondicionado (HVAC) en el Centro Parroquial, la reparación de las paredes interiores de la iglesia, la repavimentación del estacionamiento y mucho más.
